An Update on the Cabbagetown Youth Centre
Near the end of 2020, our Club announced a merger with the Cabbagetown Youth Centre (CYC), that would see BGC Toronto Kiwanis acquiring the flagship CYC building at 2 Lancaster Avenue.
We are happy to announce that renovations at 2 Lancaster Avenue have begun, and we hope to be able to reopen the space in early 2022.
BGC Toronto Kiwanis is extremely excited to expand our services to the Cabbagetown and St.Jamestown communities through programming at CYC school location Rose Avenue Public School, as well as 2 Lancaster.
CYC programming will live on through its merger with BGC Toronto Kiwanis.

2021 Blair’s Run
As we enter the final weeks of summer, BGC Toronto Kiwanis is excited to share details about the 2021 Blair’s Run, a fundraiser with proceeds going to BGC Toronto Kiwanis and our CYC location.
Blair’s Run has been part of the Cabbagetown Festival for 42 years. The annual mini-marathon became Blair’s Run in honour of Blair Tully, a community champion who organized the run to benefit the Cabbagetown Youth Centre.
For the second year in a row, due to COVID-19, Blair’s Run will be held virtually. Teams can plan their own Blair’s Run group activities or runs. In 2020, Blair’s Run raised over $27,000 for BGC Toronto Kiwanis and Cabbagetown Youth Centre.
Interested in participating? Details will be available on blairsrun.cainthe coming weeks!
