2021 Blair’s Run

Support the 2021 Blair’s Run! Proceeds will be donated to BGC Toronto Kiwanis!

Celebrating 42 Years of Community Building from September 10 – 19, 2021!

Blair’s Run is traditionally a 2km jog around the neighbourhood for everyone 2 – 70+ as part of the Cabbagetown Festival. Funds are raised by street, corporate or family teams by getting sponsors for their runners. Individual participants also welcome! Blair’s Run will be virtual again this year due to City restrictions on festivals, though we encourage Teams to plan their own Blair’s Run group activities or runs.

In past years Blair’s Run has raised as much as $35,000. Blair’s Run 2021 is proud to support BGC Toronto Kiwanis.  The Cabbagetown Youth Centre, now under the umbrella of BGC Toronto Kiwanis, is undergoing a rejuvenation under the new leadership, so the Blair’s Run tradition of supporting The Cabbagetown Youth Centre continues!

Please Note: Tax Receipts will be issued to donations of $20 or more.

Learn More About Blair's Run

Blair’s Run has been part of the Cabbagetown Festival for 42 years. It began as the Cabbagetown Mini-Marathon led by Weenen Construction. Over the years it has raised funds for Wellesley Hospital burn unit, Riverdale Farm and many other neighbourhood charities, most especially The Cabbagetown Youth Centre. The annual mini-marathon became Blair’s Run in 1999 in honour of Blair Tully, a community champion who organized the run for several years to benefit the Cabbagetown Youth Centre.

Blair’s wife, Marilyn Marshall, has organized Blair’s Run for the past 22 years, along with a team of enthusiastic volunteers.
