A Mural Brings Community Creativity to Cabbagetown Youth Centre
There’s something new to see at our Cabbagetown Youth Centre (CYC)! 🎨

A new mural has been completed on the wall of CYC facing Flos Williams Lane, bringing colour, creativity, and a strong sense of community to the neighbourhood.
The mural project was created with the goal of reflecting Cabbagetown through the eyes of the people who live and work here. Before the painting began, community members were invited to share their ideas and perspectives through a survey. These ideas helped inspire a mural and other art projects that represent the character and spirit of the community.
Now completed, the mural adds a unique piece of public art to the CYC space and gives everyone passing by an opportunity to experience the creativity of the neighbourhood.
At BGC Toronto Kiwanis, we believe that young people and community members should have opportunities to express themselves, contribute their ideas, and help shape the spaces around them. Projects like this help make our community spaces feel more welcoming, creative, and connected.
We’re excited to see this mural become part of CYC and the Cabbagetown neighbourhood. 💙
